Getting myself in trouble

Well Now that Ive been ranting about my car for so long, I decided to try to buy a new one...

Im looking at a 2005 Toyota Tacoma, It is alomst exactly the truck Ive wanted for years and now with a new body style, which is awesome!!! Do I be safe and stay with my car and hope this is the end of the problems, because the warrenty ends a year before my contract ends. That brings up the other problem, it is on a lease... a 4 year lease no less. It is also quite likely that I will have to pay alot of money for damage to the wheels (not my fault... long story though) even more in milage overages. I also have to buy new tires in the sping, (and most likely new wheels) so there goes even more.

Or..

Do I not risk it and pay that extra money now and get the truck, wich I hope, and is probably more likely that this should be failry cost free (other than payments) for the next few years?

I dont know...

Oh yea and I have Jury Duty tomorrow.

I know what you should do! Get rid of that piece of crap Saab. Although it is a sweet car and it is also fast... The point of having an automobile is so you can drive it places. Considering that the car spends more time in the shop than on the road, it is not serving its purpose. It seems that your going to have to shell out a bunch of cash to get out of that lease thing whether you end it now or two years form now. The only difference is the amount of headache and extra time that you will be spending dealing with more problems on the vehicle and the inflated cost of standard upkeep for such a fine european machine. You can see were I am going with this. Get the Toyota! Like you should have done in the first place. Cut your losses and invest in something that will hold its value and cost less to maintain. The only other thing to consider is the same issue you had with the Saab on the new Tacoma. Since the 2005 tacoma is a new model year, you may run into some new model year problems, which was a big issue with the 2003 Saab. Although I am willing to bet that if any they wont be as extencive or expensive as the Saab. I am not sure what has been redesigned with the new Tacoma but the previous decade of production has proven the Tacomas' reliability. Maybe consider a slightly used Tacoma. If you lived in the flat lands or a city, A truck would not make much sence. But since you live in mountainous terrane and lead an active lifestyle... the Tacoma is a well suited machine. Got for it. I will be up to gawk at your fortunate purchase next week.

I totally agree with BEH. He/she is very wise. Learn from your(and my) mistakes. Don't get another new model year.
