Moab
This weekend I took off to spend some time in Moab, this is most definitely one of my favorite places on the planet. I had so much fun!! I got there early Saturday afternoon and found a campsite, which was very easy because nobody was there. Nobody I was the only one around. (shhh, don’t let the secret out that the perfect time to go to Moab is Jan-Feb) it was almost 60F so I got to wear shorts which was awesome!! Soon after setting up camp I went out to really see what my truck can do... OH MY GOD!! I went so far beyond what I thought I (it) could do and it never even questioned. I had wheels off the ground, I was driving up and down things that are a challenge to walk on! It was WAY too much fun!
Lets look at some pictures!!
This first one is on Baby Loins back. I see it and want to do it every time I am in Moab, so I finally did it.

This was one of the more sketchy thing I did, if you look closely the back wheel is 6-8" off the ground, now that’s what I call "Off-Roading".

It did get a bit bruised but only minor, I put a few scratched into the skid plate but that is what it is for so now it just looks like it is supposed to. Also some of the things were so steep that I was dragging the trailer hitch on the rock as I cam down and it bent the attachment for the trailer lights. I bent it back so it is good now.
The real purpose of the trip was to meet my dad and pick up a new couch for my house (well not new, it is my parents old one, but it is new to me). So I met him on Sunday and we went for a great run, and I got to show off the truck (again). The best part of the whole weekend I think was driving home in a brand new truck covered in mud hauling a couch @ 80Mph down the highway. If I had taken a picture I would send it to Toyota for an add. That made me realize that this is the perfect vehicle for me, it is fast enough, it can go ANYWHERE, and it can car stuff around. While I had the Saab I rationalized it by saying, "Well I have never not been able to do something that I wanted to", but now I realize there is just so much more I CAN do that was never an option in the Saab. Not that off roading really appeals to me it is just the capability to go to campsites that I would not be able to otherwise. All in all I think I made the correct decision and I will probably refrain from talking about my truck from here on out.

Now you understand why I love my toyota so much! Good times, Good times!
Dude, that truck fricken rocks! That's awesome! I'm guessing you had to stop the truck in just the right places and get out and take the pic before the e-brake popped off and your truck rolled to it's doom. That's pretty ballsy. Kudos to you. I'd be too scared to hurt my car and have to repair it. I'm a wuss like that. Anyway, it sounds like a real fun trip. I think I'll live vicariously through you from now on. ok?
Yup exactly! I was defintely worried about that but it was pretty solid, the parts that got me were I was getting in and out all the time scoping the line, looking at where to go for the safest route. I had to climb in a few times because the door was so far off the ground I could not get back in!
Anyway I was way to amped up on addreniline to stop or care, those toyota commercials are right this truck is an addreniline pill!
