Pictures from Moab

I didn't have the pictures I thought I would but there were a few keepers in the bunch so here they are.

First up - On the way to Moab we passed McPhee Reservoir, only once or twice in the last 5 years have I seen much water in it at all and I have never seen it this full.

Another of the drive there - There were two places that it seemed that these tractors were strategically placed in the middle of green fields to look good. This one was the second one, The other was WAY better but we didn't have the camera out for it.

While we were riding in at Slickrock I fell over on my bike (not really a crash I just fell over). Heres the story, we were almost done with the loop (were had finished 14 of the 15 miles) and there is a little step that is in the middle of the trail that I had never ridden. Earlier on the trail there were some sections that i did differently than I had in the past and gained a lot of confidence in climbing some bigger steps, so about 200 Yds from this step I decided I was going to attempt it. As I come around the corner there was a lady standing right in the line I wanted to take (the easiest and smallest part of the step) given that I had already decided I was going to try I just went a little to the left of her (where it was about 2' high instead of 1.5'.) Of course I get my front tire up and stop, balance all silly like for a second and fall over sideways, I end up on my back looking directly up at this lady... nothing more than a major ego bruise (or so I though.) I finish the ride and my wrist begins to hurt. I don’t remember hitting my wrist, but apparently I did because yesterday I could barely move it. I went to the doc (don’t ask me why I knew what the result would be) and it is sprained. That sucks, I really hate going to the doctor and paying them exorbitant amounts of money for them to tell me nothing that I didn’t already know. "Oh well, there’s no fracture, go home, Ice it, take some ibuprophen (sp) and call it good." Great!!! I (I as in my insurance) just paid you at least $300 for you to tell me what my common sense already said!! Only 3 times can I say in my entire life that I went to the doctor and they earned what I paid them... Oh well, some day I will actually need there skills, it just bothers me that I wasted half a day and a bunch of insurance money on information I already knew.

It's Ibuprofen...like you care.

I would be peeved about the lost time at the doctor's I wouldn't worry so much about wasting my insurance company's money. You pay them way more than they pay you or your doctor. Overall, the trip sounds cool. Almost makes me want to be an athletic person. Almost.

yea Im definitely not too concerened about the Insurance company money... I 'm just still sure that a bill is going to show up in my mailbox because insurance doesnt want to cover it.

Yeah, inevitably, they deny every claim the first three times it's submitted. Pricks. I'm gonna deny their request for me to pay my premium the first three times they send it. See how they like it.
