Stressin' out
Why is it that thing goes in waves? Life is great for awhile, not many worries, not may things to stress about. Then all of a sudden EVERYTHING happens at once!
1. Im buying a house - Thats self explanitory.
2. Most of my team at work has quit so it is down to two of us to complete the work of 5 in the next few weeks.
3. I am running my first marathon next saturday and due to previous 2 items have not had the time to train as much as I would like to.
4. Unresolved issues with good friends that seem to never end (see Previos Post).
I just wish I could shut off my conciosness for a few weeks untill I get through all this.

When it rains, it pours.
Good luck with the house.... I know what you're going through. I have NO CLUE what you're going through with the marathon. My longest is 8 miles and I nearly died. I don't think that I have the body for long distance. As far as work goes... can you get overtime???
I wish I could get overtime, hah. I already put in well over 40Hrs a week somtimes and I get nothin for it..
Way I see it, if you're doing the work left behind by quitters, you should get their salaries, too. ;o)
House- I feel for you man. It'll get better.
Work- Simple solution, miss your deadlines. If they're short-handed as it is, they're not going to can you. It's not worht you having a corronary just to meet some stupid deadline that was set too short anyway. Plus, there's just another deadline behind the first one so you're never going to make any headway really. And it's not your fault everyone is quitting. Most likely, it's your company's fault so they should understandably suffer. Maybe if they do suffer, they'll take better care of their employees next time. You bailing them out is just asking to be walked on in the fiture. Help out a bit extra, but set limits.
Marathon- Just do your best. Training is unnecessary. If you don't win, then there's always next time. Not really priority that you win considering the other stuff.
Issues- See my comment below. Suffice it to say that, again, I feeel for you and it should get better with time.
Only KAMIN has a comment below!!! (I beat up Stan's comment below)
You got it right Sermoniser... I will bring that up with the powers that be!
Things always do seem to happen all at once or not at all.
1) Remember, this is one of the few times in your life that you can expect your friends to help you fix your house up. :-D
2) I've been through that sort of work crap all too often. Just do your best without killing yourself.
3) As for the marathon, everything needs a beginning. You haven't run in one before, so just let this be your starting point. If you don't do as well as you want, use the experience to improve for next time. Of course, I probably wouldn't choose an alpine marathon for my first time....
4) Regarding your friend, I'd tell you to put it out of your mind, but it's not like that's ever worked for me. Eventually, you'll stop thinking about it so much. Sucks, I know.
