Interesting Idea...

John C Dvorak has decided that California should be split into 3 different states. I think that it could be a pretty interesting idea. could balance a lot of thing out both economically and politically, nationally and in Cali itself.

Read his idea Here.

What do you think?

East-coaster here. I personally think that if California becomes 3 states, then we sink New Jersey and New York to keep the number at 50. Those two states are America's taint anyway.

Well not having been there I couldnt tell you , but I like The Sopranos, and that show wouldnt existst without those states. It least wait untill after this season (Maybe for the Serias finale?) and after Ive gotten a chance to visit.

Mehhh... NJ's redeeming quality is the beach and NY's is New York City... it's the rest of each state that is either ghetto or superhick loser. Upstate and central tier NY is the most beautiful and disgusting place in the world. The people are such loser slobs but the terrain is gorgeous....

...oh and we'll keep the Adirondack high peaks too.

Of all the states to sink, you choose NY and NJ? I get why NJ is on the list, but all that toxic waste might damage the ocean. And aren't you forgetting places like West Virginia and Kentucky? Or Oklahoma? Granted, those states don't have shorelines, but neither does NY, really.

Kate beat me to it. West Virginia was gonna be my first nominee. That and we could merge some of the North East states like Rhode Island and Connecticut, or Massachusetts. And by thew way, I've totally forgotten how to spell the last two states so I am just guessing.

Anon, you are right he is a bit of a plug-monger but I do think he throws out some interesting ideas.

Anyway, I have never been east of the mississippi river for any signifigant period of time so I cant agree or dissagree with you. My Step-mom is from NJ and so is my friend Sarah (is it H or no H I never remember) so they might have a word or two to add when they reads this!
