Moving slowly...
It's pretty slow here, but you know what, so is my life at the moment.
Last weekend my friends and I said goodbye to the ski season. Every resort near here closed on Sunday so I made the ambitious plan to hit all three of them on the last three days of the season. Wolf Creek on Friday, Purgatory (Durango Mountain Resort) on Saturday, and Telluride on Sunday. Friday at 6:00 AM (the earliest I've been up in months (not counting still up from the night before) I am pulling on all my ski gear and making some breakfast, only to realize that ALL of my equipment (skis, Boots, Poles, Helmet) are at Mike and Sadies new house. Its about 15 minutes each way to get there at it was too early for me to call to wake them up (and feel OK about it). JD, who I was supposed to be going with, was meeting his brother (who left @ 4:30 to get there) at the mountain, so he had to leave on time. So Day one of the tree day tour has failed.
Friday night, oh Friday night..
I am lucky (or unlucky, as you may see) enough to have a lot of friends, some of them are older and like to go out early. So around 4:45 I meet the "Nerd Herd" at the bar and begin with the consumption of beer. By 8:30 everyone is nice and happy and ready to go home. This is all well and good, but at that point I am supposed to meet another group of friends that is just starting their evening. Anyway, the night progresses and 8 hours of beer drinking later I finally stumble home. (I must have fairly drunk because my roommate heard me having conversations with the cats)
Now a great hangover cure is to ignore it and go skiing. Mike, Sadie and Mark show up and we head to Purgatory. None of us are on form, nobody is skiing well, we all can feel a really strange vibe for the day and we can figure it out. At around noon we realize that it is April fools and that is the reason that everything is all screwed up. Given that knowledge we submit to the day and order some Pibbers, (PBR, or Pabst Blue Ribbon, for you non-Durangotangs).
Sunday was pretty much the same, though except that we were at Telluride. I think that the Skiing karma was just a bit off kilter because we just could not get anything to go correctly. Sadie had to rent a board because she had forgot hers in the rack at Purgatory Saturday, and also at the end of the day, she dropped a glove off the lift and when I went to go get it, it was gone. On the way back all was redeemed because we decided to go the long way home (2.5 hours instead of 2) so that we could stop by Purg to see if her board was still there. Sure enough it was in the rack right where she left it.
So all in all not a great weekend or a bad one, just strange. I can even really explain it properly.
So on other life news, I found another roommate to move into my house to help out a bit more with my unemployed finances. She will be moving in around the 15th and is bringing 2 dogs. That brings the total population of the house to 3 people, 2 cats, 2 dogs, and a bunch of fish. It should be all good though.
Also Jarrod and I are continuing to work on our Bike Guiding company. We are going to call it San Juan Mountain Riders, we are looking at 18 Ironhorse bikes to rent, we are working on our land use permits for BLM and National Forrest land, finalizing out business plan, and looking into loans.

WOw, for someone who's "got nothing going on," you sure have a lot going on.
